Grief is not limited to the death of a loved one. Non-bereavement grief is mourning for other losses, including the loss of health, independence, opportunities, and financial security because of disabling physical injuries. It is a yearning for a return to your pre-accident life and difficulty accepting changes that may be permanent.

Whether you experience grief because of your injuries or the loss of a loved one in the accident, grief is associated with an increased risk of developing other psychological disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder and depression.  

 This year, our grief group had the privilege of adopting a family for Christmas, and we were beyond blessed when APBOXING Club joined forces with us to create a truly magical experience! The eldest child had a passion for boxing, making it a perfect match. Alexys Pintor, the Owner and Head Coach, stepped up in an extraordinary way, gifting the eldest child a membership to the boxing club. But it didn’t stop there—Alexys and the entire APBOXING team went above and beyond, showering the rest of the family with gifts and fulfilling so many of their wishes.

Their unwavering commitment to the community, combined with their dedication to empowering individuals on their boxing journeys, makes APBOXING Club an invaluable pillar of support and inspiration. Thank you, Alexys and team, for spreading joy and hope this holiday season—you are truly champions inside and outside the ring!
